nové žánry stále vznikají
Mark Fisher kdysi napsal úvahu, že v popkultuře se neobjevuje nic nového (a zajímavého) a že se stále recyklují ty samé (převážně hudební) motivy.
Nic není dál od pravdy! Nové (zajímavé) hudby vzniká obří množství, akorát se radikálně změnil způsob její distribuce (čti: dnes hudbu nedistribuujou nahrávací společnosti a velká centralizovaná média, ale decentralizovaný internet).
Myslím, že ta samá věc má dopad i na subkultury:
1) vznikají nové subkultury, akorát jsou příliš malé na všimnutí (protože "žánr" nebo kapela má v Praze třeba jen 10 fanoušků)
2) často nejsou na jednom místě - fanoušci určité kapely jsou roztroušeni po republice, na koncert se klidně sjedou, ale jinak nemají moc důvod, protože se nazvájem ani neznají
3) vznikají mikrožánry (dungeon synth, vaporwave, barber beats, lo-fi hip hop, hyperpop, "o co se to sakra snaží Bert and Friends", "dechno" ve stylu Too Many Zoos) - hodně specificky znějící žánry, které ale postrádají všechny znaky žánru (např. nemají na žánr navázanou módu nebo jejich interpreti nikdy nekoncertují živě)
4) je dost kapel, které nejsou žánrově vyhraněny (tj. mají písně více různých žánrů, případně žánry různě mixují), myslím že to samé jde říct i o fanoušcích (tady teda mluvím za sebe osobně)
5) (zvlášť v elektronické hudbě) je velmi snadné mít širokou paletu zvuků, tudíž je celkem těžké mít specifický zvuk (kapely, žánru)
6) zatímco produkce (a distribuce) hudby je dnes levná a relativně snadná (čti: týpek s notebookem zvládne na co by před třiceti lety bylo potřeba studio a fabrika na desky), propagace je pořád drahá a pracná (buď to znamená objíždět koncerty, což je pracný a organizačně náročný, nebo utrácet peníze za propagaci)
7) je velká konkurence a to i ze strany 30 let staré zapadlé hudby (čti: proč bych poslouchal něco soudobýho, když někdo na internetu vyhrabal nějakou naprostou pecku z Holandska roku 1986)
